Passport and visa regulations when travelling to the U.S.
U.S. Visa Waiver Program travellers from the countries below , including infants and children, must present a machine-readable passport (MRP) at a U.S. port of entry to be admitted to the country without a visa. Travelers from all Visa Waiver Program countries will be required to enroll in the US-VISIT program and have their fingerprints digitally scanned and their photograph taken upon entering the U.S.A..

Important note on flights via U.S.A.
US regulations always require travelers to comply with customs and immigration procedures upon their first point of entry into the U.S.A.. This means that you will have to hold a MRP or visa upon arrival in the U.S.A., even if the country is not your final destination. You will not need to clear customs again in the U.S.A. if you have an additional stopover within the country.
Advance passenger information for travel to the U.S. is now required
U.S. legislation require foreign nationals to provide to air carriers a valid U.S. address during their stay “before” the departure of their U.S.-bound flight. U.S. citizens and U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident cardholders are exempt from this requirement.
