opportunities
For every 10,000 paid miles you fly on
United and as a Premier member, we will
automatically deposit four 500-mile E-UpgradesSM into your account. These
upgrades are valid for travel in North America.
Your priority status with upgrades
Premier members may use 500-mile E-Upgrades
on most published fares for travel within the 50 United States, Canada, Mexico
and the Caribbean (Puerto Rico, Aruba and the U.S. Virgin Islands).
Upgrade confirmation before
departure
Upgrades are confirmed in the following
order, at the following times before departure, based on availability:

You may request your upgrade when you
reserve your tickets. You no longer need to call 100 hours ahead to confirm your
upgrade. As a 1K benefit, your upgrade will be confirmed automatically, based on
availability.
Standby priority
If upgrades are not available when you call, 1K members will be placed ahead
of Premier Executive and Premier members for upgrades when you stand by at the
